Snow Globe Restoration
Welcome to the Wolf Grace Designs Restoration Center!
Leaking, empty, murky or shattered- I can fix your globe!
While we do offer brand-new globes, we also repair previous MP Woodcarver and Wolf Grace Designs dog snow globes, because sometimes nothing can replace the sentimental value of an original snowglobe!
At WGD, we understand that these globes hold sentimental value.
Whether you received your globe as a gift from a loved one or dear friend, or if it was crafted by the original artist, Michael Park. Wouldn't it be wonderful you if could cherish the same dog figure for many more years to come? - Knowing that it is the same figure that you have loved for years?
While Michael Park no longer crafts these beautiful globes, they have found a new crafter at Wolf Grace Designs, and I would be honored to restore your favorite Dog snowglobe. Because just like your dog, you become attached to seeing the same little face every day and smiling.
Questions and Answers
What are the qualifications for repair?
Currently I only accept globes for repair that have been shattered, or that have damaged bases.
What type of damage is not available for repair?
At this time, I do not accept globes that are actively leaking, conditions which the figurine's paint is chipped or the figurine is broken. Nor can I assist in conditions whereby the figurine and or the white plate are loose/bouncing, or possibly they are completely severed from the gasket of the globe. These restrictions are due to the risk of further unrepeatable damage that can be caused during the harsh travels of shipping. It is possible that your globe is salvageable nonetheless and I hope that you may find a local shop that is capable of performing a repair to your treasured globe :-)
Do you repair MP Woodcarver and previously purchased Wolf Grace Designs globes?
Yes, I repair both brands of these dog snowglobes.
Do you repair other types of snowglobes?
Currently, I only repair these dog globes.
Why does a restoration cost nearly as much as a new globe?
Due to the cost of goods, it requires the same amount of materials and labor (sometimes extra of both) to restore as it does to create a brand-new globe. With a restoration, you keep the same dog in the globe, as oppose to a new one (which would look slightly different from your original).
What if my globe has glitter instead of snow?
Currently, I am unable to reintroduce glitter to a globe (surprisingly, it is not so simple), but I can replace the glitter with snow, which only takes a few days to be introduced to the water.
My original globe has a music feature, will you keep the music feature in the restored globe? Yes! I often try to salvage the original base (with or without music), but sometimes I do have to replace the base, but will always put your original music feature back into the base.
Do you repair music features that no longer function as intended?
Unfortunately, I cannot repair music features. I recommend looking for a local professional to repair a broken/malfunctioning music feature.
Snowglobe crafting is surprisingly more detailed than it appears, as they require daily monitoring for about anywhere between 2-3 weeks. This is due to the mixing and handling of the liquids, removing most (if not, all) the air and to let the snow to settle in the globe.
I know you are eager to get your globe, but it is worth the wait.
🐾 - Custom made and non-returnable.
Please note:
All wooden bases and glass globes are hand-crafted in Taiwan and are subject to cosmetic blemishes, just as all hand-made creations. At Wolf Grace Designs, we believe that minor and unique blemishes that do not distract from quality, are part of the hand-made charm!
I hope you love it. I think you will.
